About
Hi, I’m Sarah! ADHD Coach, Creative Coach, and professional theatre artist (among other things).
My training includes courses with ADD Coach Academy, MentorCoach, Academy for Coaching Excellence, and more. I combine my knowledge of creative brain wiring and effective coaching tools with my professional experience in the arts to provide a unique, holistic approach to helping my clients. I especially love supporting people working in the performing arts, queer folx, solopreneurs, and women exploring or diagnosed with ADHD later in life.
Outside of coaching, I enjoy reading classic mystery novels, baking cookies, watching home design shows, and cats. I am currently based in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
My Story
As someone diagnosed with ADHD later in life, many people ask what led me to seek a diagnosis. The answer is, I didn’t! My diagnosis came right before the huge wave of ADHD content and conversations hitting social media, so I didn’t have any idea of the various ways ADHD can show up for girls and women, and it was a complete surprise to me. If it weren’t for a new therapist I was working with picking up on some traits and patterns, I would never have thought to consider the possibility of ADHD.
After I started looking into it however, there were a lot of things that I could relate to and that suddenly made my current struggles and past history make more sense. Including the impact it had on my creative career. I had already started down the path of being a life and career coach for creatives, because my own journey had made me passionate about the need for more support in artistic industries (my background is in theatre and music). Once I saw how much my ADHD traits had contributed to my challenges in creating a fulfilling life and career, I knew I had to expand my knowledge in that area and start weaving it into my coaching as well.
One thing I’ve learned through my ADHD coaching education and experience is how different each person’s experience with ADHD can be. It’s made me even more passionate about making individualized, shame-free support available to more people. Whether you tick all the boxes on the classic ADHD traits list, feel like an ADHD imposter who “should” be able to figure it out on their own, or aren’t sure if your executive functioning challenges stem from ADHD, trauma, menopause, etc, you are welcome here!
My Approach
My approach to coaching centers self-awareness, support systems, and sustainable action.
As a coach, I’m not there to tell you what to do or provide you with answers. I’m there to create a supportive space for you to process, explore, practice, plan, and ultimately create change in a way that works for you and your individual needs. Using knowledge from my training and lived experience, combined with intuition, deep listening, and mindful observation, I aim to help you unlock the underlying challenges holding you back, identify ways to move forward, and take action with curiosity and self-compassion.
Clients have described my style as grounded, relaxed, empathetic, authentic, and collaborative.
